ᴛʀɪɢɢᴇʀ ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢ: loss of child,

After hearing the news of the mother orca Tahlequah, that carried her dead newborn calf for 17 days I mourned with her. I thought of her for days, worried about her. I would have a normal day and she will come to mind. I can’t believe we, a species, use to hold these beautiful creatures captive for human entertainment.

In 2020 Tahlequah gave birth to a healthy baby, this put my mind at ease a little knowing that she will go on with life with her new calf, but forever hold the love of her previous calf.
